Nixon is incredibly spoiled by the BHS staff and is obviously a staff favorite. He is almost 9 years old and has spent over a year in the shelter. Nixon was brought to BHS because his family was moving to a state that does not allow pitbull type dogs. He frequently joins our Animal Care Director, Bemo Combs, on a morning walk and he spends the rest of his morning in the play-yard, soaking in the sun. His favorite thing in the whole wide world is food. Unfortunantly Nixon has a food allergy so he is not allowed to have chicken or beef, only fish and venison! His food allergy causes skin irritation, but this is easily managed by avoiding foods with chicken and beef ingredients.
When you visit with Nixon, he will want to lay on the couch with you and he will give you those sad puppy eyes that say “pet me please”. Nixon is frequently caught “ninnying” on his blanket before he falls asleep. This handsome big boy just wants to be loved. If you are looking for a couch-potato, Nixon’s your man!
Please contact BHS at 410-833-8848 if you are interested in Nixon.
*The Petpoint system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each dog based on personality, not breed label.
